About Geosnap

Italian startup in the GEO sector

Background

In the startup world, execution speed can make the difference between success and failure. Geosnap, an Italian startup in the GEO sector, needed to move quickly to complete crucial features without compromising quality.

I first contacted Angelo, the founder, for a GEO analysis of my website. That conversation opened the door to a future collaboration. One month later, we reconnected at a critical stage: Geosnap needed to internationalize its application and complete its new dashboard within tight deadlines.

The challenge was not simply to build new features, but to do so while preserving the existing architecture and preparing the application for an international audience.

The project

The work covered two main areas:

Complete internationalization

  • Implementing a robust i18n system for multiple languages
  • Adapting the interface to support text of different lengths
  • Configuring dynamic translation management

Development of the new dashboard

  • Building the new user plans page
  • Creating and optimizing Supabase Edge Functions
  • Developing complex custom components

The project used React, Supabase, Tailwind, and Shadcn/ui, providing speed without sacrificing scalability.

The challenges

Joining an existing project means dealing with code and processes that are not always perfect. The main challenges were:

  • Working with new technology: I had to learn Supabase Edge Functions quickly.
  • Reducing complexity: technical debt needed attention without blocking feature development.
  • Translating many pages: internationalization required careful creation and review of both existing Italian copy and new English content.

The results

In just one month, I completed every planned task and exceeded the initial expectations.

The delivery speed allowed Geosnap to meet its milestones and move on to the next stage of its growth plan.

The impact of the subscription model

The outcome was so positive that Geosnap became the first client to renew quarterly, an option I had not even made public at the time.

This shows how well the monthly subscription model works for startups that:

  • need fast, measurable results,
  • want flexibility in their technology investments,
  • value transparent and predictable costs,
  • need specialized skills without committing to a hire.
